COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 2, 1987 A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 7:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gonzales presiding. Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. ROLL CALL: Council Members present were Rios, Cisneros, Rehrer, Garcia*, and Mayor Gonzales. Also present were City Manager Benest, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos. (15) Discussion of Wastewater System issues and alternative solutions, including a possible Ordinance. City Manager Benest advised Staff is recommending that Item No. 15 be removed from the Agenda. The City Council, as well as the Utilities and Planning Commissions, have been very concerned in recent months about our decreasing sewer capacity due to the rapid residential devel- opment. Since a number of developers have requested to meet with Staff to help solve the problem, Staff would like to postpone this item until there is an opportunity to get some assistance from developers, as they have all indicated an interest in meeting with Staff to help deal with this problem. Mr. Benest stated a meeting is being scheduled for next week, and the major developers will be contacted regarding the date and time, or Mr. Jaime Aguilera, Community Development Coordinator, can also be contacted. Mr. Benest concluded Staff is, therefore, recommending Item No. 15 be removed from the Agenda. Mayor Gonzales stated if the Council Members concur, Item No. 15 will be removed from the Agenda. The Council Members were in concurrence.
