CITY OF COL TON
INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM
TO:
Honorable Mayor and City Council
APPROVAL:
Nabar E. Martinez, City ManagerAx•
FROM:
Anna A. Vega, Finance Director
SUBJECT: Consulting Services Related to Formation of a City-wide Landscape
and Lighting District
DATE: May 2, 1995
Item No. 23 on the Agenda for the May 2, 1995 Council Meeting is approving an Agreement with
Berryman & Henigar for consulting services for the Landscape and Lighting District. Previously,
Muni Financial Services had provided this service for the City of Colton. However, when the
proposal from Muni Financial was received, their costs exceeded those of all other proposals. I
attempted to contact Don Webber of Muni Financial Services to discuss the possibility of a
reduction in costs, but was unable to reach her prior to the deadline for submission of the agenda
report. Since the agenda report recommending approving the contract with Berryman & Henigar
was submitted, I have been contacted by Carla Stalling of Muni Financial Services. A new
proposal has been received, which is now lower than all other proposals. Due to the fact that
Muni Financial has been providing these services previously it would be beneficial to the City to
continue our relationship with Muni Financial Services.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends that Council approve the agreement with Muni Financial Services to provide
consulting services related to the formation of a City-wide Landscape and Lighting District not to
exceed $33,000.00,
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
AAV/bjw
Attachment: Amended Proposal
