Other taxes - 35.6%; Other - 25.3%; Intergovernmental - 13.9%; Property <br />Taxes - 12.8%; Licenses & Permits - 6.0%; and Fines & Forfeitures - <br />0.9%. <br />Director Chamberlain said a common thought is that property taxes paid <br />by our citizens cover the cost of most public services. However, the <br />City receives only $1.8 million or 12.8% of its total operating revenue <br />from property taxes. The City of Colton receives only 11 % of all <br />property taxes paid to the County of San Bernardino.
