,..� Calendar. Mayor Fulp said later in the meeting he was going to <br />lobby very hard to eliminate the consent calendar. Council <br />consensus was to retain the existing placement on the agenda for <br />oral comments and to defer discussion and decision on elimination <br />of the consent calendar until the item is before the Council. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Board & Commission Appointments <br />Councilmember Bennett submitted the following recommendations for <br />appointment: Mr. Mike Owens to Code Enforcement Housing Advisory <br />and Appeals Board and Mr. John Mitchell to Recreation & Parks <br />Commission. <br />Motion by Councilmember Beltran, seconded by Councilmember Sanders <br />to, ratify the appointments. Motion unanimously passed. <br />Councilmember Sanders submitted the following recommendations for <br />appointment: No recommendation for Civil Service, Mr. David <br />Peterman to Cemetery Commission, Mr. Audie O'Kasagana to Recreation <br />& Parks Commission, Mr. Ramon Hernandez to Planning Commission, and <br />Mr. Lloyd Haines to Utilities Commission. <br />Moved by Councilmember Beltran, seconded by Councilmember Bennett, <br />to ratify the appointments. Motion unanimously passed. <br />Councilmember Cook submitted that all her current appointments <br />remain the same, with the exception of a vacancy on the Utilities <br />Commission. <br />Moved by Councilmember Bennett, seconded by Councilmember Hutton, <br />to ratify the reappointments. Motion unanimously passed. <br />Councilmember Sandoval said his nominees would be submitted at the <br />regular meeting of December 20, 1994. <br />Councilmember Hutton submitted the following recommendations for <br />appointment: Mr. Sal Rios to Recreation & Parks, Mrs. Margaret <br />Matich to Civil Service and Mrs. Helen Cortez to Historic <br />Preservation. <br />Moved by Councilmember Beltran, seconded by Councilmember Sanders <br />to ratify the appointments.
