Councilmember Rios suggest that not pulling agenda items out of <br />order would help. <br />City Clerk Ramos advised the City Council that there is a manual of <br />(meeting) procedures established by a former City Council which <br />needs to be modified to accommodate the changes agreed to by the <br />present City Council. In response to her recommendation, Mayor <br />Gonzales requested that the City Clerk incorporate the changes for <br />City Council approval and implementation. <br />City Attorney Biggs advised that pursuant to Brown the public needs <br />to be allowed to speak. <br />Items 25 and 26 <br />With consensus of Council, Mayor Gonzales announced that Items 25 <br />and 26 will proceed first. <br />The Hornets <br />Whereupon, he called and presented certificates of Commendations, <br />for winning the State championship for the California Youth Soccer <br />under 10 Division, to the team members of the Hornets: Carissa <br />Aguilera, Travis Brillhart, Hector Calderon, Alex Cervantes, Albert <br />Garcia, Silver Martinez, Raymond Mendoza, Daniel Ochoa, Abraham <br />Rivera, Mario Rivera, Ruben Rivera, Curtis Sandoval, Miles Smith, <br />Jacob Torrez, Jesse Torrez and Mark Vasquez. Team Coach Dave <br />Brillhart, Team Manager Abe Rivera and Team Mom Evelyn Rivera were <br />also commended. <br />George Nunez <br />Mayor Gonzales presented Former Police Officer George Nunez with a <br />plaque commemorating his outstanding service to the City of Colton. <br />Acting Chief of Police Cabral stated he was proud of George Nunez <br />for his many years of service and achievements and presented him <br />with a retirement badge. Chief Cabral presented flowers to Mrs. <br />Ida Nunez for her patience and support. Officer Nunez said he was <br />happy that kids were present as he had worked with kids and for <br />kids. He expressed his appreciation for the recognition given to <br />him and he applauded his wife for her support in his career. <br />At 6:59 P. M., Mayor Gonzales declares a recess to allow attendance <br />at the reception in honor of Mr. Nunez. <br />At 7:23 P.
