Agenda Item No. 14 <br />Councilmember Sandoval asked that any action on Ordinance No. 0-14- <br />94, be deferred until after an affirmative action plan is adopted. <br />After discussion, City Attorney Biggs advised that the ordinance, <br />as written, complies with the plan as found in Municipal Code <br />Section 3.08.015, which emphasizes that purchasing within the City <br />shall comply with any affirmative action plan adopted by the City. <br />Upon adoption of the Affirmative Action Plan, all subsequent <br />contracts awarded will conform to the goals and policies therein. <br />In answer to Councilmember Bennett's question if it was appropriate <br />to move now, City Attorney Biggs indicated she saw no problem. <br />Agenda Item No. 18 <br />In response to a question by Mr. George Fulp, Interim City Manager <br />Winter informed that approval for these positions was given by <br />Council several meetings ago.
