COUNCIL MEETING <br />DECEMBER 20, 1994 <br />A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was <br />held on the above given date at 6:30 P. M., in Council Chambers as <br />duly noticed, Mayor Fulp presiding. <br />INVOCATION• <br />Invocation was offered by Chaplain Gary Lee Roberts. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Councilmembers present were <br />Beltran, and Mayor Fulp. Also <br />City Attorney Biggs and City <br />was absent due to illness. <br />MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL <br />Hutton, Sandoval, Cook, Sanders, <br />present were City Manager Martinez, <br />Clerk Ramos. Councilmember Bennett <br />Agenda Item No. 15 - Recognition <br />With Council approval, Mayor Fulp advanced Agenda Item 15 and <br />called Dr. Herbert Fischer, Superintendent of Schools, forward to <br />accept the Resolution of Recognition to Colton High School's <br />Crimson Team for its Gold Medal win in the San Bernardino County <br />Academic Decathlon, excelling in subjects such as social science, <br />science, economics and speech, math, language/literature, <br />interview, super quiz and arts. <br />Dr. Fischer acknowledged the presence of School Board Members Don <br />Alvarez, Dorthea Cooley and Ray Abril. Academic Coach Bob DeGraff <br />was asked to step forward. Mr. DeGraff was commended for a job <br />well done. He expressed pleasure in the team of students and <br />introduced the following members, who were applauded for their <br />excellent standing: Richard Mendoza, Melinda Go, Chris Ondatje, <br />Aaron Bruhl and Terry Roberts. Other members of the team who could <br />not be present were Juan Pelaez, Wade Burrows, Steve Mendoza and <br />Lena Wellard. <br />Agenda Item No. 13 - Board & Commission Appointments <br />Councilmember Sandoval recommended the appointment of Julie <br />Hickenbottom to the Mobile Home Rent Review Commission; Garland <br />"Rocky" Fredrickson to the Civil Service Commission; Salathiel A. <br />DEC 2 0 1994 <br />
