Unanimous vote. <br />Councilmember Hutton recommended the appointment of John Gomez to <br />the Planning Commission and of Bill Bossaert to the Code <br />Enforcement Housing Advisory & Appeals Board. <br />Motion by Councilmember Sandoval, seconded by Councilmember Cook, <br />to accept and approve the recommendation. Unanimous vote. <br />Councilmember Cook recommended the reappointment of Yolanda Lopez <br />to the Civil Service Board; Margaret Hemminger to the Cemetery <br />Commission; Janet Cosgrove to the Historic Preservation Commission; <br />Jack Deal to the Mobile Home Rent Review Commission; Edward <br />Gonzales to the Parks & Recreation Commission; Susan Oliva to the <br />Planning Commission; Joe Lopez to the CFD Commission and Cynthia De <br />La Rosa to the Code Enforcement Housing Advisory & Appeals Board. <br />She recommended the appointment of Pat Martinez to the Utilities <br />Commission. <br />Motion by Councilmember Sandoval, seconded by Councilmember Hutton, <br />to accept and approve the recommendation. Unanimous vote. <br />Councilmember Sanders announced no new appointments. <br />Mayor Fulp recommended the appointment of Don F. Ewing to Civil <br />Service Board; Brig D. Williams to the Cemetery Commission; Donald <br />E. Hines to the Historic Preservation Commission; Thomas H. Harmon <br />to Mobile Home Rent Review Commission; Jesse Valdivia Sr. to the <br />Parks and Recreation Commission; Eugene P. McMeans to the Planning <br />Commission; Harold L. Berkebile to the Code Enforcement Housing & <br />Appeals Board; David J. Toro to the CFD Commission; plus, Richard <br />Borges and Emilia Mendoza to the Colton Youth Board. <br />Motion by Councilmember Beltran, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to <br />accept and approve the recommendation. Unanimous vote. <br />Agenda Item No. 14 - Youth Board <br />Facilitator Rita Coronado declared it was one year ago that the <br />Youth Board was created. She found there was good representation <br />on the Board. The monthly meetings have dealt with diverse issues <br />including discussions regarding the community center and graffiti. <br />She spoke about the City Manager's participation at one of the <br />meetings and she spoke about a picnic where City Council Members <br />and the youth talked on a one-to-one basis. She invited the <br />Council and members of the public to attend the meetings. She said <br />the Youth Board needed appointments from Councilmembers Hutton and <br />E <br />DEC) o 1994 <br />
