R-03-94 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON PROVIDING FOR THE <br />DESIGNATION OF A HISTORICAL LANDMARK <br />WITHIN THE CITY OF COLTON. <br />CDBG <br />Mayor Gonzales announced that this was the time and place fixed for <br />public hearing for consideration of the selection of projects to be <br />submitted to the county for eligibility and qualification for <br />funding from the 20th program year, 1994-95; and approval to <br />reprogram $320,000 of CDBG Funds from the Colton <br />Contingency/Unspecified Local Option to the New Project, <br />"Construction of Kiddie Swimming Pool and Pool Deck." <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the public hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and <br />reported no protests or objections were received. <br />Reporting for Director Zamora, City Manager Young said the San <br />Bernardino County Department of Economic and Community Development <br />is accepting applications for CDBG funding. All public agencies <br />are required to conduct a public meeting to authorize the <br />submission of any application. City Manager Young referred to <br />modifications which were made to the original agenda report which <br />lists the following: Senior Citizens Outreach Program ($14,000); <br />Youth Intervention Program ($14,000); Veterans Park Ballfield <br />Renovation ($22,000); Graffiti Eradication Program ($14,000); Alley <br />Improvements ($18,275); Johnston Street Improvements ($37,925); <br />South Colton Streets Upgrade Project ($234,320); Inner -City Street <br />Improvement Project ($268,070); and, Olive Place/Holly Avenue <br />Street Improvements ($188,099). <br />9 <br />J AN 18 1994 <br />
