Assistant City Manager Parrish distributed copies of a status <br />report by him regarding the televising of Colton City Council <br />Meetings via the local cable carrier and revised time line for <br />implementation. Councilmember Sandoval commended Mr. Parrish for <br />a thorough report. In response to inquiry, Assistant City Manager <br />Parrish projected that April 19 as a target date for a televised <br />meeting. <br />Procurement Policy <br />Councilmember Bennett inquired about the procurement policy which <br />she believed was attached to Resolution No. R-53-93 regarding the <br />procurement of recycled products and establishing a preference of <br />recycled products. She reminded staff that Council did state the <br />need to meet requirements of AB939. <br />City Manager Young called upon Purchasing Agent Ken Peterson who <br />said he had reviewed the procurement policy with former Finance <br />Director Acevedo, which was then submitted to City Manager Young. <br />Purchasing Agent Peterson assured he would immediately obtain a <br />copy of the approved procurement policy and make it a part of the <br />Purchasing Manual. <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />City Manager Young informed there were no items for discussion in <br />closed session. <br />RECESS: <br />At 7:10 P. M., Mayor Gonzales declares a brief recess before taking <br />up the business of the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton. <br />At 7:12 P. M., City Council Meeting reconvened with all <br />Councilmembers present as heretofore. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />At 7:15 P. M., Mayor Gonzales declared the meeting adjourned. <br />HELEN A.
