COUNCIL MEETING <br />MARCH 11 1994 <br />A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was <br />held on the above given date at 6:37 p.m., in the Council Chambers <br />of the City Hall, Mayor Gonzales presiding. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Invocation was offered by Chaplain Kim Starr. <br />ROLL CALL• <br />Councilmembers present were Bennett, Sandoval, Rios, Cisneros, <br />Cook, Beltran, and Mayor Gonzales. Also present were City Manager <br />Young, City Attorney Biggs and City Clerk Ramos. <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />This Agenda Item was not called. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />Cash Flow <br />Mr. Paul Misken, 846 W. Citrus Street, distributed copies of a <br />written statement which he read to the City Council regarding cash <br />flow and he warned the City may be short of funds. He inquired if <br />taxpayers/businesses will face higher utility bills and extra <br />assessments? Is the City hiring people it doesn't need and should <br />City employees return to a 5 -day, 40 hour week? <br />Request by Councilmember Beltran <br />Councilmember Beltran said that on February 7, 1994, he directed a <br />memorandum to the City Manager asking him to answer seven distinct <br />inquiries. He said the City Attorney was the first to respond and <br />today, additional questions were answered except three questions. <br />There was a question regarding engineering consultant services. <br />Another question dealt with identifying the financial institutions <br />where someone might inquire where the 1/2 million dollar reserve <br />can be located. Councilmember Beltran stated the last question <br />regarding mid -year budget review and audits was an item which <br />Council could resolve by fixing a date for hearing. <br />Councilmember Beltran stated that the City Council Members can ask <br />for City and Redevelopment project audits to be provided by the <br />next meeting. Further he requested that all answers be provided by <br />the next City Council Meeting. If no answers are given, <br />1 <br />MAR 0 1 1994 <br />
