COUNCIL MEETING MARCH 11 1994 A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 6:37 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Mayor Gonzales presiding. INVOCATION: Invocation was offered by Chaplain Kim Starr. ROLL CALL• Councilmembers present were Bennett, Sandoval, Rios, Cisneros, Cook, Beltran, and Mayor Gonzales. Also present were City Manager Young, City Attorney Biggs and City Clerk Ramos. SPECIAL PRESENTATION This Agenda Item was not called. PUBLIC COMMENT: Cash Flow Mr. Paul Misken, 846 W. Citrus Street, distributed copies of a written statement which he read to the City Council regarding cash flow and he warned the City may be short of funds. He inquired if taxpayers/businesses will face higher utility bills and extra assessments? Is the City hiring people it doesn't need and should City employees return to a 5 -day, 40 hour week? Request by Councilmember Beltran Councilmember Beltran said that on February 7, 1994, he directed a memorandum to the City Manager asking him to answer seven distinct inquiries. He said the City Attorney was the first to respond and today, additional questions were answered except three questions. There was a question regarding engineering consultant services. Another question dealt with identifying the financial institutions where someone might inquire where the 1/2 million dollar reserve can be located. Councilmember Beltran stated the last question regarding mid -year budget review and audits was an item which Council could resolve by fixing a date for hearing. Councilmember Beltran stated that the City Council Members can ask for City and Redevelopment project audits to be provided by the next meeting.
