COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 17, 1994 <br />A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was <br />held on the above given date at 6:40 P. M., at the Colton Junior <br />High School, as duly noticed, Mayor Gonzales presiding. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Invocation was offered by Chaplain Bob Johnson. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Councilmembers present were Bennett, Sandoval, Rios, Cisneros, <br />Cook, Beltran, and Mayor Gonzales. Also present were Interim City <br />Manager Winter, City Attorney Biggs and City Clerk Ramos. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />Inland Youna Marines <br />With Council approval, Mayor Gonzales announced that Agenda Item <br />No. 16 would be advanced to the beginning. Councilmember Rios <br />indicated that members from the Inland Young Marines are present <br />because he wanted to inform the Council that this group of young <br />people have volunteered to perform community service in his <br />district and are willing to assist in other districts in the City. <br />Councilmember Rios introduced Executive officer, Mr. Suetar, <br />Company Commander, First Sergeant Criss (16 years of age); Company <br />Gunny Sergeant R. Clapperton (14 years of age); Staff Sergeant T. <br />Clapperton (15 years of age) ; Sergeant F. Melendrez (17 years of <br />age) and Corporal B. Davis (14 years of age) . Sergeant Rogers and <br />Staff Sergeant Compton addressed Council about the group's <br />activities and accomplishments. <br />On suggestion of Councilmember Beltran and approval of City <br />Council, Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Comment section <br />advanced on the agenda. <br />1 <br />MA Y -7 7 1 <br />
