November 1, 1994, the Reprogramming of Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funds from the Fiscal Year <br />1993-94 Project: "Street Improvements - Olive, Bordwell, <br />La Cadena and Mt. Vernon, $60,338" to the activity, <br />"Street Improvements - "M", Congress and Sixth." <br />(17) Public Works/Public Utilities/Contract <br />Award of Lemna Construction Contract to Mesa Contractors <br />in the Amount of $996,840. <br />(18) Public Works/Engineering <br />Authorize the Installation of Stop Signs on "M" Street at <br />9th Street per City Traffic Committee recommendations, <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-120-94. <br />(19) Fleming Park <br />Use of Fleming Park on Monday, October 24, 1994, by the <br />Girl Scouts, Troops #425 and #1149. <br />(20) Conflict of Interest Code <br />Conflict of Interest Code 1994 Biennial Update, <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-121-94. <br />(21) Fireworks Licenses <br />Second Reading and Adoption of ORDINANCE NO. 0-19-94 to <br />allow up to Five Youth Groups sponsored by the Colton <br />Unified School District to receive Fireworks Licenses in <br />any One Calendar Year. <br />Moved by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Rios, to <br />approve the Consent Calendar. Motion carried by unanimous vote. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />Weed Abatement & Traffic <br />Miss Lorraine June, 688 No. 7th Street, addressed the Council <br />asking if the City's Weed Abatement Program covered railroad <br />properties. <br />Fire Marshal Sork replied affirmatively and said notices for the <br />Fall Program are in the mail and include all vacant parcels <br />including railroad properties. The weed abatement will start on <br />November 2, 1994. <br />Miss June noted that the rumble buttons on South La Cadena were <br />removed when the street was repaved and were not put back in place. <br />Miss June felt the rumble buttons deterred traffic from speeding in <br />the area of the school and should be reinstalled. <br />Miss June reported that 10th and "O" Streets was a "T" intersection <br />and should have a Stop sign installed. <br />3 <br />OCT 1 8 1994 <br />
