CITY COUNCIL ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING MINUTES JUNE 61 1995 In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 650 North La Cadena Drive, Mayor Fulp presiding. ROLL CALL• Councilmembers present were Hutton, Sandoval, Bennett, Cook, Sanders, Beltran and Mayor Fulp. Also present were City Manager Martinez, City Attorney Biggs and City Clerk Ramos. CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Fiscal Year 1995-96 Preliminary Budget Water Utility Mayor Fulp said the Council will begin on Page 65 with Public Works/Water Utility. Moved by Councilmember Hutton, seconded by Councilmember Sandoval, to tentatively approve the Operations and Administration/Technical Services of the budget with the exception of Capital Improvements, Fund 21. City Manager Martinez stated it would be prudent to do a cursory review of the numbers; that staff could respond to questions and that the Council could take another look at the budget on June 20, 1995. Mayor Fulp said when comparing Page 66, Salaries of the original packet to the handout just received, there is a $65,000 decrease. He asked for clarification. Councilmember Hutton stated this was due to elimination or reduction of a position(s). Mayor Fulp asked if the $54,109 in salaries included the manpower needed in the department. Member Hutton said it included all of the current remaining staff of the department and that he was not aware of any request from the State requiring additional personnel. Finance Director Vega stated that if additional staffing is required it would be in Wastewater. Motion to tentatively approve carried. Councilmember Bennett abstained.
