She said the Police Chief helped and several officers, <br />volunteered their own time, to build a wall. She reminded and invited <br />everyone to the Haunted House to be held October 27, 1995. She <br />commented that the technical abilities were outstanding and praised the <br />outstanding quality and commitment by the community. Local people have <br />donated materials and cash to make the event a top-notch performance. <br />She asked for possible funding to repair Reche Canyon Road and <br />Washington Street as there are several areas where front -ends have been <br />misaligned and tires have been punctured. She inquired when the stop <br />signs will be placed on Reche Canyon Road. <br />District 4 <br />Councilmember Cook said she was pleased to announce the opening of a <br />Health Clinic, by the Public Health Department, at Luque Center, which <br />will start November 1. She asked that information be announce via the <br />public access channel. Councilmember Cook recommended that Fire Marshal <br />Sork be appointed head of a committee to review the Fireworks Ordinance. <br />She announced and invited everyone to the Chamber of Commerce's gala <br />event for the Community Center to be held on Friday, November 10, 1995. <br />Mayor Fulp informed that the City Council approved the Chamber's use of <br />the facility. There was discussion on the mailing and printing of <br />invitations and sale of alcoholic beverages. <br />District 1 <br />Councilmember Sanders wished Councilmembers Cook and Beltran success on <br />the gala event. He spoke about a successful meeting held October 19, <br />1995 with residence at Corral Tree Road which the Police Chief, City <br />Manager and Mayor Fulp attended. The residents shared concerns and <br />grievances. He announced a follow-up meeting on November 9, 1995 at <br />6:15 P. M. for the residents of Coral Tree Road, Joshua Tree and Sago <br />Palm Road regarding the development of events. <br />District 3 <br />Councilmember Beltran said that he would have further comments regarding <br />the gala event at the next Council meeting.
