Mayor Fulp assured that no decision had <br />been made to out anything. Assistant to the City Manager Parrish <br />stated that t a Mid-Management/Confidential Meeting in October a <br />list was established of volunteer employees who were contacted and <br />invited to participate in budget review. <br />Community -Problems <br />Me. Gen Bron stated. there had been several unproductive meetings, <br />with former Mayor Gonzales and. Acting Police Chief Cabral, over <br />problems at a neighborhood complex and some of those tenants were <br />now present. <br />She recalled that at a recent meeting there was discussion about <br />safety services and they were told that twenty-one officers were to <br />be laid off. She Identified Police Office Victor Paul as the <br />declarant. <br />Also, she seized the opportunity to speak about a recent meeting o <br />the community regarding a rapist who was free in the community. <br />She commended the Police Department who went out and re -arrested <br />the individual. She commended the Rialto Police Department., <br />Cnuncilmem€ben Cook, Councilmember Beltrami and. Jen. Beltran. <br />Payor Fulp directed. the City Manager to speak with the residents <br />and report to Council. <br />Len Meeting a <br />Mr. "Rocky" Fredrickson mentioned a recent Newspaper article which <br />quoted Payer Fulp extensively regarding the huge budget deficit <br />He wondered .how rumors could be squelched when newspapers continue <br />to publish the information. <br />Pna Fredrickson, complained about the 7- to -hogs long Council <br />Meetings. He said lengthy discussion was conducted on "itty bitty" <br />things and before long people tired and left the meetings.
