Director Harmon reported that the certificate is no longer issued <br />because there is no "Acting" status. Fire Chief Hall said prior to <br />the State Certification Requirements, the City felt there was a <br />need to provide additional training and understanding for the <br />position of Captain. The Chief said when the State offered <br />certification, the City's certificate became redundant and was at <br />a lower level than the State. <br />Moved by Councilmember Hutton, seconded by Mayor Fulp, to approve <br />Consent Item 6. Motion carried by unanimous vote. <br />Consent Item 10 - Personnel. Approve Job Description and Set Salary <br />Range for Facility Monitor in the Neighborhood Services Department <br />and Authorize Staff to Begin Recruitment Process. RESOLUTION NO. <br />R-74-95. <br />Mayor Fulp asked staff if this was a General Fund position and if <br />there was currently a person in the position. Director Anstine <br />replied it was a General Fund position and the position was vacant. <br />Moved by Councilmember Sandoval, seconded by Councilmember Hutton, <br />to approve Consent Item 10. Motion carried. Councilmember Bennett <br />and Mayor Fulp voting "no". <br />Consent Item 11 - Personnel. Approve Job Description for Senior <br />Accountant in the Finance Department. <br />Mayor Fulp asked if this was the position that was approved at the <br />previous meeting. Director Vega replied that was correct. <br />Moved by Councilmember Sandoval, seconded by Mayor Fulp, to approve <br />Consent Item 11. Motion carried. Councilmember Bennett and Mayor <br />Fulp voting "no". <br />Consent Item 19 - Consider Resolution Approving a Senior Housing <br />Project by Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton. <br />Moved by Councilmember Sandoval, seconded by Mayor Fulp, to table <br />this item to Adjourned Council Meeting of July 20, 1995. Motion <br />carried by unanimous vote. <br />Consent Item 19A - Personnel. Ratify Appointment for Position of <br />Administrative Secretary. <br />Personnel Director reported she is requesting ratification of <br />appointment to the position of Administrative Secretary. She said <br />she plans to fill the position by hiring from an existing <br />eligibility list. <br />Moved by Councilmember Hutton, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to <br />approve Consent Item 19A.
