PRESENTATIONS, AWARDS & PROCLAMATIONS: <br />* Taormina Industries, Inc/Colton Disposal - Ric Collett announced that effective <br />Monday, September 30, sanitation services were fully automated and drivers were <br />learning the new routes. The residents are adapting and he has seen an increase in <br />recyclables. Mayor Fulp invited the citizens to contact his office and express their <br />opinion on the new service. <br />* Chris Gallegos presented a check to Councilmember Bennett on behalf of the San <br />Bernardino Raiders Booster Club for 8500 proceeds from their fireworks booth. <br />Councilmember Bennett accept the monies on behalf of the Citizen Volunteers <br />Program. CM Bennett stated she would be making a personal donation and Mayor <br />Fulp said he would contribute as well. <br />Councilmember Bennett said that the monies would be used to purchase equipment, <br />uniforms and information material for the Neighborhood Watch Program. She invited <br />everyone to the Annual Haunted House sponsored by the Citizens Volunteers Program <br />on October 25 - 31, 1996. <br />* Councilmember Cook read the Proclamation declaring October 6 - 12, 1996 as <br />"Respiratory Care Week." <br />* Councilmember Bennett read the Proclamation declaring October 1996 as <br />"Alzheimer's Disease Month." <br />* Mayor Fulp read the Proclamation declaring October 27 - November 2, 1996 as <br />"World Population Awareness Week." <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />As requested, Items 1 and 9 were pulled for discussion. <br />(1) Minutes - Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes of June 18, 1996, Adjourned Special <br />Meeting Minutes of June 18, 1996, Regular Meeting Minutes of July 16, 1996, and <br />Regular Meeting Minutes of September 17, 1996, as on file in the Office of the City <br />Clerk. <br />Motion/second, by CM Bennett/Mayor Fulp, to approve the Minutes with corrections <br />to the Minutes of July 16, 1996, pg. 10 and 11, to read "10:34 p.m. and 10:47 <br />p.m." and clarification by CM Bennett to the Minutes of the Adjourned Special <br />Meeting of June 18, 1996 that "her NO vote for Resolution Nos. R-59-96, R-61-96 <br />and R-64-96 was due to the three resolutions being voted by one vote rather than <br />voting on each separately." Motion carried with Councilmember Hansen absent. <br />(2) Warrants - Approved Warrants Register dated 9/11/96, consisting of 6 Pages; <br />Warrants Register dated 9/17/96, consisting of 1 Page; Warrants Register dated <br />3 <br />
