Public use in connection with the City of Colton electrical <br />distribution project affecting Assessor Parcel Nos. 163-391-0`4 and <br />163-391-07. <br />Mayor Fulp declared the public hearing "open." <br />City Clerk presented a proof of service to property owners and <br />stated there had been no publication. City Attorney Biggs advised <br />that no publication was required as the resolution was to initiate <br />eminent domain proceedings. <br />Electric Utility Director Clarke reported the Electric Utility was <br />building a new transmission line and ''fiber optic line- from the <br />Southern California Edison Company's substation to the new "West"` <br />substation to loop that transmission line to the existing Hub` <br />substation. He indicated a number of easements for three miles of <br />line were obtained but for the property _owned by Romun <br />International Ltd. Staff requested adoption of resolution of <br />necessity to condemn the easement across the certain parcels and to <br />authorize the commencement of eminent domain proceedings in court - <br />to complete the transmission line and fiber optic line to the <br />"west" substation. <br />There was no response to the call for public comment. <br />Motion/second by Beltran/Mayor Fulp to terminate the public <br />hearing.
