CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MEN UTES <br />MARCH 19 1996 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date <br />at 6:55 P. M., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Fulp presiding; <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Fulp led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Chaplain Bob Johnson offered the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Councilmembers present were Hutton, Hansen, Bennett, Cook, Sanders, Beltran and Mayor <br />Fulp. Also present were City Manager Martinez, City Attorney Biggs and City Clerk Freeman. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Presentations Awards Proclamations - <br />Fitness for Fun <br />Councilmember Cook presented a Certificate of Recognition to Ms. Helen Nichols for her <br />enthusiasm, energy and encouragement in the Fitness for Fun Class. Councilmember Cook <br />praised Mrs. Nichols for her participation in and for finishing 26.2 miles in the 1996 Los <br />Angeles Marathon. Mayor Fulp presented his Kudo award. <br />Councilmember Cook presented Ms. Jimmy Nichean, teacher of the Fitness for Fun' Class. <br />Jimmy said the classes were free and were intended to be fun and to reduce blood pressure. <br />She thanked the City Council for the Community Center its amenities. She introduced members <br />of her class and extended an invitation for everyone to attend. <br />Youth <br />Mayor Fulp said that youth are our future and as Mayor he was dedicated to assisting the <br />children. He offered to helped the T -Ball' leagues to fix the three in -fields and acknowledged <br />MAR 1 9 1996 <br />
