COUNCIL MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 17, 1996 <br />A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date <br />at 6:32 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Mayor Fulp presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Pro -Tem Cook led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Invocation by Pastor Steve Anderson. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Councilmembers present were Hutton, Hansen, Bennett, Cook, Sanders, Beltran, and Mayor <br />Fulp. Also present were City Manager Freeman, City Attorney Biggs, and City Clerk Delgado. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />- Presentations, Awards. Proclamations <br />` * Councilmember Hansen presented a Resolution of Recognition for An Extraordinary <br />Individual to Lydia Barrios, a Teacher at the Colton Children's Center at San Salvador <br />School. He also introduced Victoria Van Norman, Coordinator for the San Salvador Pre - <br />School. Mayor Fulp presented his Kudo award and pen. <br />* Councilmember Bennett read the Proclamation declaring October 1996 as "Child Health <br />Month. " <br />Councilmember Sanders read the Proclamation declaring October 7 - 11, 1996 as <br />"California Rideshare Week. <br />* Councilmember Cook read the Proclamation declaring September 30 - October 6, 1996 <br />as "Equal Parents' Week. <br />* Mayor Fulp read the Proclamation declaring August 26, 1996 as "National Association <br />of Retired Federal Employees Day 75th Anniversary." <br />* Mayor Fulp recognized Kristal Greenlea, Jenny Harris, and Sam Holmes, Colton High <br />School Cheeleaaders who were selected by the United Spirit Association (USA) All -Star <br />-SEP 17 1996 <br />
