Mission and Goals <br />With Council approval, Mayor Gaytan continued this item to June 30, 1997. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />Motion/second by Mayor Gaytan/CM Sanders to approve Agenda Items 3 (as amended), 4 and 5 <br />carried with CM Bennett and Hutton voting "No." CM Sandoval was absent. <br />(3) Finance - After discussion, approval of a General Fund appropriation to the Cemetery <br />Enterprise in the amount of $35,000 (Landscape Contract Fees and Employee Salaries) for <br />FY 1996-97. Finance Director Vega requested that the matter regarding loans be referred <br />to the Cemetery Commission for its action regarding $468,000 outstanding. <br />(4) Finance - Discussion had regarding booking fees and interest due, following litigation. <br />Approval of $251,500 of prior years' booking fees due plus $165,000, comp -time buy- <br />back in compliance with MOU, for a total of $416,500, an increase to Police Department. <br />(5) Bid - Awarded Bid for 90' Aerial Device Truck, 40' Aerial Device truck and Insulator <br />Washer Trailer to ALTEC in the sum of $424,697.70. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Formation of Blue Ribbon Committee <br />Finance Director Vega reported she had contacted a number of prospective members and agreed to <br />have a report on July 1'. CM Sanders introduced the conceptual idea of addressing two budgets at <br />a time. <br />Intergovernmental Agency Board and Committees <br />No changes presented. For budget alignment, CM Sanders suggested a history of expenditures be <br />developed and converted to a factor to calculate actual figures. <br />CM Cook requested an area for reports from the agencies be placed on the Agenda. <br />Mayor Gaytan requested that this item be continued to July 1. <br />San Timoteo Canyon <br />With Council approval, upon request, Mayor Gaytan declared the item pulled from this agenda. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />Upon motion/second by Mayor Gaytan/CM Cook and approval of Council, at 7:34 P.
