TIME AND PLACE FIXED TO CONSIDER THE DESIGNATION O F THE <br />M. <br />.IDENCE LOCATED AT 555 NORTH LA CADENA DRIVE AS HISTORIC; <br />LANDMARK 4-4-7. <br />Mayor Gaytan declared the Public Hearing Open. <br />City Clerk Barrera submitted the Affida.vit of Publication. and reported there were no protests or <br />objections received . <br />Due to late receipt of pertinent i floe -nation, Community Development Director Zamora requested <br />that this natter be continued to June 17 :1997 <br />r, :fired Cordova commented there were State rules and guidelines for historic designation. He <br />believed that a private home converted to a fivewbedroon-i apartment did not qualify for historic <br />designation. He said the property had created a tremendous amount of problems, with trash in the <br />alley, for law enforcement. He opposed the historic designation. <br />` otiom/second by CM Sand'ovat/Sanders to continue this matter to Jure 17, 1997 for a continued <br />public hearing carried upon unanimous vote. <br />CITV TREASURERS RE E ORS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Investment Polk <br />City "Treasurer Williams stated there was statutory requirement that the Council adopt an <br />investment policy every year at a public meeting and submitted the docurnent he prepared in <br />compliance with: this statute. <br />Motion/second by CNI Hutton/Benriett to reconfirm the Citi"s investment policy as prepared by <br />the City Treasurer and to direct the preparation of a rCSOIL1601� if required, carried upon <br />unanimous vete. <br />Discussion entered regarding Fee € vercharge claims and billing errors by Bank. of America and the <br />impact. As to the overcharges, City Treasurer Williams opined that there was no nullor impact for <br />the City, He said he had been actively- involved in the administration of the debt issuances and he <br />believed there would be nothing impacted by that lawsuit. discussion continued regarding sweep <br />funds, single _f:arnily mortgage revenue bend issues, bear bond issues, and escheated funds. <br />After discussion regarding A 78-2. and AD79-1, City Treasurer Williams explained that AD78-2 <br />was no loner active and AD7-_1bends would be called on July 2'� He said rendswonld be <br />made to everybody that had a levy on the tax roll for the 1996-97 year because of the bankruptcy <br />
