CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES MAY 209 1997 A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 6:22 P. M., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gaytan presiding. FLAG SALUTE: Mayor Gaytan invited Chief of Police Bernie Lunsford to lead the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. INVOCATION: Chaplain Jim Stovall offered the invocation. ROLL CALL: Present were Councilmember Don Sanders, Councilmember John Hutton, Councilmember Kelly Chastain, Councilmember Betty Cook, Councilmember Deirdre Bennett, Councilmember David Sandoval and Mayor Gaytan. Also present were Acting City Manager Harmon, City Attorney Biggs and City Clerk Barrera. CLOSED SESSION: City Attorney Biggs stated that two matters of potential litigation needed to be added to Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(B), which required a five - person vote to add. She stated the matters had arisen since the posting of the Agenda. Motion/second by CM Bennett/Cook, to add the two matters of potential litigation as Item C of the Closed Session, carried unanimously. City Attorney Biggs announced that the City Council would meet in Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.6, to confer with its Labor Negotiator, Gracie Fernandez Harmon, regarding negotiations with representatives of the Fire, Police Rank & File and Police Management Bargaining Units. City Attorney Biggs announced that the City Council would meet in Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(b) to confer with its Legal Counsel regarding the following matters of pending litigation: Taylor v.
