CM Bennett nominated Mr. Mark Williams for appointment to Code Enforcement & Housing <br />Appeal Board. <br />Motion/second by CM Cook/Chastain to ratify the appointment of Mr. Mark Williams to the <br />Code Enforcement & Housing Appeal Board carried with CM Sandoval absent. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Electric - Public Benefits Charge <br />This is the time and place scheduled to consider establishing a public benefits charge in accordance <br />with Assembly Bill 1890. <br />Mayor declared the public hearing "Open." <br />City Clerk Barrera submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported no protests or objections <br />were received. <br />Interim City Manager Wood requested continuance of this item to November 12, 1997, at 5:00 P. <br />M. <br />After discussion, motion/second by CM Bennett/Cook for approval of the continuance carried <br />with CM Sandoval absent. <br />Community Development Department - Appeal D-24-97 (Railroad) <br />This is the time and place scheduled to consider Union Pacific Railroad's appeal of Planning <br />Commission's denial of File Index Number D-24-97 (Area: 6h and K Streets.) <br />Mayor declared the Public Hearing "Open." <br />City Clerk submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported no protests or objections were <br />received. <br />Interim City Manager Wood requested that this matter be continued to the next regular meeting <br />(November 18, 1997.) <br />Motion/second by CM Sanders/Chastain to approve Staff's recommendation carried with CM <br />Sandoval absent. <br />ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING: <br />With consensus of Council, Mayor Gaytan advanced the single item on the adjourned regular <br />meeting agenda for purpose of "opening" and continuing the matter. <br />City Council Minutes November 04, 1997 4 <br />
