CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />NOVEMBER 18, 1997 <br />A Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date <br />at 6:10 P. M., in the Council Chambers of CityHall, Mayor Gaytan presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Mayor Gaytan invited Police Chief Lunsford to lead the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION: <br />Pastor Tom Harvick offered the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Present were Councilmember Don Sanders, Councilmember John Hutton, Councilmember <br />Kelly Chastain, Councilmember Betty Cook, Councilmember Deirdre Bennett and Mayor Karl <br />E. Gaytan. Councilmember Sandoval was absent. Also present were Interim City Manager <br />Wood, Interim City Attorney Carvalho and City Clerk Barrera. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />Motion by Mayor Gaytan, seconded by CM Cook, to join the remainder of the RDA Closed <br />Session with City Council's Closed Session passed with no objection from City Council. <br />Interim City Attorney Carvalho announced that the City Council would convene in Closed Session, <br />pursuant to Government Code §54956.9, to discuss a liability claim against the City filed by <br />`Claimant David Hall. <br />City Attorney Carvalho announced that the City Council would convene in Closed Session, <br />pursuant to Government Code §54956.9, in the Matter of States v. Colton, et al, Case Number <br />ED -CV 95-14ORT (shx), <br />City Attorney Carvalho announced that the City Council would convene in Closed Session, <br />pursuant to Government Code §54957.6, to confer with its Labor Negotiator Len Wood, <br />regarding Negotiations with representatives of the Executive Management Unit. <br />City Attorney Carvalho announced that the City Council would convene in Closed Session, <br />pursuant to Government Code §54957.6, to confer with its Labor Negotiator Len Wood, <br />regarding negotiations with representatives of the Fire Bargaining Unit. <br />City Attorney Carvalho announced that the City Council would convene in Closed Session, <br />pursuant to Government Code §54957, regarding Public Employment: City Manager. <br />City Council Minutes November 18, 1997 1 <br />
