City Attorney Carvalho announced that the City Council would convene in Closed Session, <br />pursuant to Government Code §54956.9(a), to confer with Legal Counsel regarding the following <br />existing litigation: <br />Beckett v. Colton <br />Cox v. Colton <br />Ray May Plumbing v. Colton <br />Delhi Fly Case <br />Hudson v. City of Colton <br />Staples v. Colton <br />Young v. Colton <br />Anderson v. Colton <br />Martinez -Garcia v. Colton <br />Lake Cadena Investments. Ltd. <br />Lake Cadena Investments Ltd .dba Lake Cadena Mobilehome Park <br />Colton v. Lebanoff-McKnight <br />Pacific Tractor <br />Colton v. Club 215 Inc. <br />Albert Gibboney. Todd Gibboney Club 215 v Colton <br />Colton v. Steward <br />Steward v. Sandoval, et al <br />People v. Beltran <br />PCL Civil Constructors Inc v Santa Ana Waterbed Project Authority, et al <br />Arada v. City of Colton <br />Reche Canyon Mobile Estates v. Rent RVW Commissions Colton et al <br />Stull v. Bank of America <br />On selection of the City Manager, Mr. John Longfield asked if Councilmember/Director <br />Hutton would be allowed to take part in the selection process. Interim City Attorney <br />Carvalho opined that a councilmember would only be required to disqualify themselves if they <br />have a conflict of interest, specifically, economic based, bearing an impact on source of <br />income, real property interest or business interest. <br />At 6:15 P. M., Mayor Gaytan recessed the meeting to Closed Session. At 8:28 P. M., the <br />general meeting was reconvened with all Members present as heretofore. <br />Interim City Attorney Carvalho stated that the City Council met on the following existing <br />litigation: Colton v. Club 215 Inc; Albert Gibboney, Todd Gibboney, Club 215 v Colton; <br />and, Colton v. Steward. She declared there was no reportable action. <br />Further, Interim City Attorney Carvalho stated that the City Council met on the Matter of <br />States v. Colton, et al, Case No. ED -CV 95-13ORT (shx). She declared that there was no <br />reportable action. <br />City Council Minutes November 18, 1997 2 <br />
