MOTION/VOTE: Motion made by Mayor Gaytan to approve the budget except for the <br />Neighborhood Services budget, which is to be tabled for a meeting with Recreation and Parks <br />Commission, to evaluate a proposal from the Gent's Organization, on July 15, 1998, and to <br />approve, at this time, an operational budget for Neighborhood Services. Motion was seconded by <br />CM Cook and it carried unanimously. <br />RECESS: <br />At 5:37 P. M., a recess was declared and at 6:18 P. M., the meeting was reconvened with all <br />members present. <br />MOTION/VOTE (Continued) Motion/second by Mayor Gaytan/CM Cook to approve <br />Resolution No. R-48-98, approval of the budget as presented, with the proviso previously <br />mentioned carried unanimously. <br />At 6:25 P. M., CM Grimsby left his place at the dais. <br />Electric Utility Restructuring <br />Utility Director Clarke presented brief overview on the law (AB1890); its requirements; customer <br />choice; progress tracked since April 1, 1998; the City position; availability; rates; agency <br />reliability and efficiency; bill on rate stabilization bonds and customer satisfaction program. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />On motion of CM Sanders/Bennett, consensus of City Council, At 6:50 P.
