John Bernardi, businessman, spoke about an erroneous utility billing which resulted in the <br />y, shutting off of services to three of his buildings. <br />John Longfield said WalMart was closed down because they had no electricity and inquired about <br />emergency generators in case of emergency. <br />Isaac Suchil mentioned that when items are referred to staff that the public also be provided the <br />answer. He opposed the proposed youth fees. <br />Art Ramos, Ken Hubbs representative, opposed youth fees. <br />MOTION/VOTE: On motion/second by CM Sanders/Mayor Gaytan a Joint Meeting with the <br />Parks & Recreation Commission was set for Thursday, August 20, 1998, at 4:30 P. M., or an <br />alternative date. Motion carried with no objection thereto. [Non-agendized item] <br />Mark Lucero, Chairperson of the. Parks & Recreation Commission, agreed to the date and time. <br />He agreed to poll the commissioners. M., on August 25, 1998, in <br />Council Chambers. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />Item No. 5 was pulled for separate vote and Items Nos. 10, 14 and 15 were pulled for discussion. <br />ITEM 10 - PERSONNEL <br />Discussion had regarding the assignment of Maintenance Worker 1, a building maintenance <br />position. <br />MOTION/VOTE: On motion/second by CM Hutton/Sanders that the Maintenance Worker I <br />position be listed under and assigned out of the Building Maintenance Division of the Public <br />Works Department and permanently assigned to the Human Service/Recreation Division for <br />maintenance purposes.
