Interim City Attorney Carvalho announced the City Council would convene in. <br />Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.95, to confer <br />with its Legal Counsel regarding the following matter of pending litigation: <br />Jerome Mikulski vs. The City of Colton <br />Interim City Attorney Carvalho announced the City Council would convene in <br />Closed Session, pursuant to Government Code §54956.9(b), to confer with its <br />Legal Counsel regarding one matter of significant exposure to anticipated <br />litigation. <br />Interim City Attorney Carvalho announced the City Council would convene in <br />Closed Session pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a), to confer <br />with Legal Counsel regarding the following existing litigation: <br />Albert Gibboney etc., v City of Colton <br />City of Colton v. Allan B. Steward <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY .MEETING (Cont nue4) <br />f In addition, Interim City Attorney Carvalho announced that the City Council acting <br />as the Redevelopment Agency did meet in Closed Session to discuss the <br />previously announced matter of the Cita of Colton v. L.J. Snow Ford and stated <br />there was no reportable action on that item. <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING (Continued <br />At 6:13. M., Mayor Gaytan declared the meeting adjourned to Closed Session <br />and at 7:43 P. M., the meeting was reconvened with all Members present <br />except CM Sanders who was absent from this meeting. <br />Interim City Attorney Carvalho declared there was no reportable action on the <br />items discussed and she stated that Closed Session would continue, at the <br />conclusion of the general meeting, for discussion on Item D, regarding pending <br />litigation, and Item E, regarding one matter of significant exposure. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />D Proclamation honoring Police Chief Bernie Lunsford, and congratulating <br />him upon his retirement, was read by Mayor Gaytan. Police Chief Lunsford <br />responded. <br />D Kiwanis Club Member Art Thompson recalled that flying the American flag <br />24 hours a day in Colton, started in 1915, when Mr. Fleming obtained <br />Council Mins February 03, 1998 2 <br />
