Consider Departmental Policy Promoting City Business <br />After a statement on the present telephone system and voice mail, Mayor <br />Gaytan referred the matter to the City Manager for investigation and report in <br />policy form for action on February 3, 1998. <br />Minutes Special Council Meeting June 19, 1997 <br />Motion by CM Hutton, seconded CM Cook, to approve the Special Council <br />Meeting held June 19, 1997. <br />CM Chastain indicated she had viewed a portion of the video tape of said <br />meeting and did not see a question/answer or number and answer form of the <br />discussion as contained in the minutes. <br />At 8:12 P. M., CM Sanders returned to the dais. <br />Interim City Attorney Carvalho advised that the process for approving the <br />minutes would be that if a Councilmember has a specific correction to offer, it <br />can be offered for discussion and if there is agreement on the revision then the <br />City Clerk can be directed to make that revision. If there isn't agreement, the <br />record would note that she has noted a correction and there was not a majority <br />approval to make that correction. <br />Mover of the motion, CM Hutton agreed that CM Chastain's comments be <br />incorporated as part of the main motion. <br />On January 22, 1998, after review of the pertinent video tape, Councilmember <br />Chastain and City Clerk Barrera agreed that no revisions to the minutes of June <br />19, 1997, were necessary. <br />After discussion, motion carried with CM Bennett abstaining based on the <br />difficulty in reviewing minutes more than 6 months old, and CM Grimsby <br />abstaining on the basis that he was not a Member during the time -frame in <br />question. <br />Enron Master Energy Purchase and Sale Agreement <br />Mayor Gaytan pulled the item to allow the City Manager to discuss the matter <br />with staff. <br />Annual Retort and Review of Customer Satisfaction Survey, by Colton <br />Disposal, required by Contract <br />Council Mins January 13, 1998 3 <br />
