PUBLIC C0M?qENT-. <br />Mayor Gaytan reported that after his presentation, Chief Pat Crowe suffered an apparent seizure, <br />was taken to the hospital, was under observation and on his way to recovery. <br />Mayor Gaytan said that in light of what had taken place, a number of people had indicated they <br />would forego their opportunity to speak tonight. <br />Mayor Gaytan stated that several people had indicated they would come in and make a <br />presentation to the Council and that he had provided them with his card and had directed them to <br />contact his secretary so that they would be placed on the next agenda. <br />He spoke about Ken Conway and the Explorers who were competing at the Victorville Fair, and <br />he wished them good luck. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: City Manager. <br />MOTION/VOTE: Motion by Mayor Gaytan, seconded by CM Bennett, to approve the Consent <br />Calendar carried with no objection. CM Hutton was absent. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />(5) <br />Minutes - Approved Minutes for the Regular Meeting held, May 19, 1998, on file in the <br />Office of the City Clerk. <br />(6) <br />Warrants - Approved Accounts Payable Warrants #16041 to #16164, dated 4/30/98, <br />totaling $704,993.48 and Accounts Payable Warrants #16165 to #16277, dated 5/12/98 <br />totaling $331,518.74, on file in the Finance Department. <br />(7) <br />Agreement - Approved an Agreement between the City of Colton and San Bernardino County <br />Health Department for enforcement of the Smoke Free Workplace Act. <br />(8) <br />Agreement - Approved an Agreement to form a financing team for the refinancing of <br />Community Facilities District 89-2. <br />(9) <br />Award of Bid - Awarded a Bid for One Valve & Vacuum System for the Water Division to <br />Pacific Tek, Inc. in the Amount of $33,133.12. <br />(10) <br />Award of Contra - Authorized lease contract to replace existing Xerox Copy Machine with <br />networked Ocd copier/printer for the Police Department to Oc6 Office Systems. <br />(11) <br />Claim - Denied Claims against the City submitted by Robert Duncan Mc Andrew, o <br />Ma <br />Mario <br />, <br />Rojas, and Marty Bachman. <br />Council Mins June 2, 1998 4 <br />
