CITY OF COLTON <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />DECEMBER 21, 1999 <br />Regular Meeting held on the above given date at 6: 11 P. M., in the Council Chambers of City <br />Hall, with Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett presiding until 6:18 P. M., when Mayor Gaytan was <br />present and assumed presiding duties. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Utility Director Tom Clarke led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION <br />Dr. Tom Harvick led the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />PRESENT <br />CM Donald J. Sanders CM Richard A. DeLaRosa <br />CM Kelly J. Chastain (Present at 6:13 PM) CM Betty L. Cook <br />CM Deirdre H. Bennett CM James B. Grimsby <br />Mayor Karl E. Gaytan (Present at 6:18 PM) <br />STAFF PRESENT <br />City Manager Garcia City Attorney Derleth <br />City Clerk Barrera <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett presented Certificates of Recognition to the champions of the No <br />Fear Soccer Team, their coaches and team mother. <br />Mayor Gaytan assumed his duties in presiding over the meeting. <br />CM Cook recalled the young boxer she assisted so he could participate in his first boxing <br />tournament in Arizona. In appreciation, CM Cook was gifted with a Christmas decoration <br />made by the young man's mother. <br />Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Utility Director Tom Clarke for his innovation, <br />integration, coordination and communication in spearheading the City's Y2K compliance <br />program. <br />City Council Mins Dec. 21, 1999 1 <br />
