CM Chastain stated she had not received confirmation from the person she interviewed and said <br />she would have something by the next meeting. <br />District 6: CM Grimsby commended CM Cook for the services she provides the City of Colton. <br />District 5: CM Bennett conveyed holiday greetings to the community. <br />District 4: CM Cook acknowledged the generous donations, for the needy, by Western <br />Healthcare Center, Colton Iron and Metal Works and Mike Berg. She spoke about the Christmas <br />Home Tour and the Christmas Tea at the Ashley House. She thanked Kathy Kively, Assistant to <br />City Manager, for her assistance. She reported on the Home and Neighborhood Christmas <br />decorating contest and announced the winners. She spoke about the Toys for Tots Tournament. <br />She reported that the Luque Center took 4' place in the Christmas Parade. She spoke about the <br />Christmas Bazaar, Senior Party and the children's party, provided by volunteers and local <br />sponsors. <br />District 3: CM Chastain provided highlights of the Fire Department's annual Christmas City <br />Tours. She relayed heartwarming stories of the children who participated in the Fire Department <br />and Walmart's Make a Child Smile program which hosted 40 children from the local elementary <br />schools. She conveyed holiday greetings. <br />District 2: CM DeLaRosa commended Public Works Director Hutton for his quick response to <br />problems at 8" and Johnston Streets. He reviewed his first year as a Council Member and <br />acknowledged Staff and colleagues. He thanked the lbarra family for donations in assisting local <br />residents for the holidays. <br />District 1: CM Sanders spoke about the recent renovation of a certain house on Camera Street. <br />He requested donations for the Church of God and Prophecy, participants in the Fellowship <br />Ministries and the Angel Tree Christmas Toy Program, who wish to provide Christmas gifts for <br />children of incarcerated inmates. He reported on the Airport Authority and IVDA. He spoke <br />about the Delhi Sand Fly and the plan to have the problem resolved in 2000. He noted progress <br />at the intersection of Pepper and Randall and the storm drain being installed, to mitigate the <br />overflow, and the installation of a stop light, within 60 days. He conveyed holiday greetings. <br />At Larg : Mayor Gaytan spoke about IVDA and fiscal responsibility. He commended the <br />professionalism and accomplishments of City Officials, Department Directors and support staff, <br />as they lead the City into the new millennium.
