'^ MOTION/VOTE: CM Bennett nominated CM DeLaRosa as primary representative with CM <br />Chastain as alternate member. CM Chastain announced that it was an annual meeting. There <br />was no opposition to said motion and it was so ordered. <br />Solid Waste Advisory Task Force (SWAT) <br />MOTION/VOTE: CM Bennett moved, seconded by Mayor Gaytan, to keep CM Cook as the <br />primary member with CM Chastain as the alternate member and with no opposition, it was so <br />ordered. <br />❑ Establish Procedure to Waive Trash Fees for Property Owners with Vacant Properties <br />CM Sanders provided synopsis of a letter written by Karen Joyner. He indicated that Staff had <br />conducted an investigation and made recommendations that would be forwarded to Ms. Joyner. <br />❑ Application for State Grant Funds <br />CM Sanders made presentation. He acknowledged that Staff had compiled a policy statement <br />relative to grants being pursued and he asked that a timeline be established for in depth discussion <br />at the Goals workshop. City Manager Garcia introduced Ric Collette from Colton Disposal and <br />Diane Christiansen from San Bernardino County, who provided information regarding hazardous <br />materials disposal. (Toll Free Number 1-800-645-9228) <br />❑ Board & Commissions <br />At Lam <br />Mayor Gaytan submitted the following nominations: <br />Reappointed <br />Frank Ibarra <br />Cemetery Commission <br />Reappointed <br />Mel Albiso <br />Civil Service Board <br />Appointed <br />Dale Chronister <br />Code Enforcement, Etc. <br />Reappointed <br />Camilla Hererra <br />CFD Commission <br />Ordered Vacant <br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />Ordered Vacant <br />Mobile Home Rent Review Comm. <br />Appointed <br />Joe Nichy <br />Parks & Recreation Commission <br />Reappointed <br />Antonio Vilches <br />Planning Commission <br />Reappointed <br />Annette Gilbert <br />Utilities Commission <br />MOTION/VOTE: Motion/second by CM Sanders/Grimsby <br />to approve and ratify the At Large <br />commission/board appointments <br />carried with no opposition by Council. <br />District 1 <br />CM Sanders reported he would make his appoints on January 19, 1999. <br />District 2 <br />CM DeLaRosa thanked the present commissioners for their service.
