District 2 - CM DeLaRosa informed that the curb and gutter installation at Julie and Gray Streets was delayed due to installation of water lines. He thanked Assistant to City Manager Kathy Kively for the banners in his district. District 1 - CM Sanders reported on the stop sign at Randall and Meridian Streets (Item 17) and thanked the citizens who were involved and the Members of the San Bernardino City Council. He commented on the street light at Pepper and Meridian (8-1-99); the Elizabeth Davis Park improvements (8/99); the IVDA lease, leaseback financing and repayment of loan (9/99); the Colton Palms and Rancho Mediterrania. At Large - Mayor Gaytan stated he posted his Internet number on the Community Access Channel. He reported a call from Supervisor Eaves' office regarding the turnouts at Palm/Barton area. He informed about an invitation from the President of Mexico, to join other United States elected officials of Hispanic descent, to visit Mexico in the latter part of June, to observe the Mexican government at work. BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS: Historic Commission Appointment Mayor Gaytan nominated Genevieve Gaytan as At Large appointment to the Historic Preservation Commission. MOTION/VOTE: Motion/second by CM DeLaRosa/Grimsby to approve the nomination of Genevieve Gaytan to the Historic Preservation Commission carried with no e opposition from Council. Community Facilities District Commission Commissioner John Sigity provided history and update of the CFD Commission. CM Sanders presented Certificates of Appreciation to the individual members of the Commission. Assistant City Manager Darryl Parrish listed the Commission's achievements. AGENDA REVIEW: Item 12 - Inquiry was made on where the bond proceeds were being used and if they came from CBDG funds. City Manager Garcia responded. MOTION/VOTE: Motion/seconded by Mayor Gaytan/CM Cook to approve the CONSENT CALENDAR carried upon unanimous vote.
