District 2 - CM DeLaRosa informed that the curb and gutter installation at Julie and Gray Streets <br />was delayed due to installation of water lines. He thanked Assistant to City Manager Kathy <br />Kively for the banners in his district. <br />District 1 - CM Sanders reported on the stop sign at Randall and Meridian Streets (Item 17) and <br />thanked the citizens who were involved and the Members of the San Bernardino City Council. <br />He commented on the street light at Pepper and Meridian (8-1-99); the Elizabeth Davis Park <br />improvements (8/99); the IVDA lease, leaseback financing and repayment of loan (9/99); the <br />Colton Palms and Rancho Mediterrania. <br />At Large - Mayor Gaytan stated he posted his Internet number on the Community Access <br />Channel. He reported a call from Supervisor Eaves' office regarding the turnouts at Palm/Barton <br />area. He informed about an invitation from the President of Mexico, to join other United States <br />elected officials of Hispanic descent, to visit Mexico in the latter part of June, to observe the <br />Mexican government at work. <br />BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS: <br />Historic Commission Appointment <br />Mayor Gaytan nominated Genevieve Gaytan as At Large appointment to the Historic Preservation <br />Commission. MOTION/VOTE: Motion/second by CM DeLaRosa/Grimsby to approve the <br />nomination of Genevieve Gaytan to the Historic Preservation Commission carried with no <br />e opposition from Council. <br />Community Facilities District Commission <br />Commissioner John Sigity provided history and update of the CFD Commission. CM Sanders <br />presented Certificates of Appreciation to the individual members of the Commission. Assistant <br />City Manager Darryl Parrish listed the Commission's achievements. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />Item 12 - Inquiry was made on where the bond proceeds were being used and if they came from <br />CBDG funds.
