CITY OF COLTON <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />OCTOBER 19, 1999 <br />Regular Meeting held on the above given date at 6:18 P. M., in the Council Chambers of City <br />Hall, with Mayor Gaytan, presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />School Board Member David Zamora led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />MEMORIAL: <br />Mayor Gaytan remembered the passing of Norm Housley, member of the winning 1954 Little <br />League Team and a player with the Pittsburgh Pirates Major League; Luisa Hutton, wife of <br />Former City Attorney Larry Hutton and Chuck Llamas, a Coach of Ken Hubbs Little League, the <br />Pony and Colt Leagues and a War Veteran. Miss Sara Ordaz sang in their memory. <br />INVOCATION <br />Chaplain Bob Johnson led the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />PRESgJZ7 <br />CM Donald J. Sanders <br />CM Kelly J. Bennett <br />City Attorney Carvalho <br />❑ Interim Superintendent Dennis Byas presented the State of the Colton Joint High School <br />District address. <br />o Physical Education Teacher Angela Reynolds said that students from 7th to -12th grades were <br />uniting for a two -fold community services project, i.e., the collection of $20 donations to <br />provide 2,000 teddy bears for the Loma Linda Children's Hospital and the Ronald McDonald <br />House by December 14, 1999 and, in addition, $8 from each bear purchase will be donated to <br />City Council Mins October 19, 1999 1 <br />
