MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: Comments, Inter -Governmental Agency reports, <br />Information Session and Action Items: <br />District 2 - CM DeLaRosa spoke about the opening ceremonies at McKinley Field and <br />acknowledged the presence of the Police Department and Police Explorers. He commended the <br />City Staff's work in making the field ready for that event. <br />District 4 - CM Cook commented on the San Bernardino International Airport and Trade Center <br />Local Agency Military Base Recovery (LOMBRA) MOU, signed last Friday, affecting the San <br />Bernardino airport and trade center. She said recent legislation created three new LOMBRA <br />Zone designations thus the former Norton Air Force Base earned additional LOMBRA control, <br />providing a unique economic catalyst for the area's continued redevelopment and improvements. <br />She mentioned the Cesar Chavez prayer service. <br />District 5 - Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett thanked Supervisor Eaves for approving 15% of his <br />portion of CDBG funds for the City of Colton. She thanked Staff for completing the Reche <br />Canyon signs. She announced a town hall meeting for April 6, 2000, at Reche Canyon <br />Elementary School. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />(1) Minutes - Approved Minutes for the Adjourned Regular Meeting joined with the Code <br />Enforcement and Housing Advisory Appeals Board held February 8, 2000, on file in the <br />Office of the City Clerk. <br />(2) Warrants - Approved Payable Warrants #32723 to #32950, dated 02/09/00, totaling <br />$750,583.22; Payable Warrants #32951 to #33150, dated 03/16/00, totaling $922,099.59; <br />Payroll Warrants #204726 to #205125, dated 03/21/00, totaling $497,264.72, on file in the <br />Finance Department. <br />(3) Agreement. Mills Act - Approved the Historic Property Agreement between the City of <br />Colton and Lafayette Fero and Elizabeth T. "Yvette" Fero designating as Historic <br />Landmark No. 42, the property located at 1249 N Ninth Street and authorized the Historic <br />Preservation Officer to sign the necessary documents. <br />(4) Award of Contract - Awarded a contract for four Blazers for the Police Department to <br />Rotolo Chevrolet in the amount of $89,728. <br />(5) Notice of Completion - Approved the acceptance of the Randall Avenue storm drain and <br />the Pepper Avenue widening projects as 100% complete and authorized the filing of the <br />Notice of Completion. <br />City Council Mins April 4, 2000 2 <br />
