M., in the Council Chambers of City <br />Hall, with Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett, presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />City Treasurer Michael Williams led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION <br />Councilmember Kelly Chastain led the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />PRF.CRNT <br />CM James B. Grimsby <br />CM Donald J. Sanders <br />CM Kelly J. Chastain <br />STAFF PRESENT <br />City Manager Garcia <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />CM Betty L. Cook <br />CM Richard A. DeLaRosa <br />Mayor Pro Tempore Deirdre H. Bennett <br />City Clerk Barrera <br />City Attorney Carvalho <br />➢ Presentation - Project from the East Valley Land Company was continued. <br />➢ Ed St. Germain presented a Certificate of Appreciation and the Sons of the American <br />Revolution Law Enforcement Medal to Police Chief Patrick Crowe. <br />➢ Assembly Member John Longville presented a Certificate of Commendation to the Utility <br />Department for its leadership in the use of solar technology in its solar electric carport. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Land Use Designation <br />This was the time and place fixed to consider a Specific Plan amendment and environmental <br />determination to change the land use designation from industrial park to heavy industrial for <br />approximately 8.8 vacant acres located at the southwest corner of La Cadena Drive and Rancho <br />Avenue in the Agua Mansa Industrial Corridor Specific Plan Area, and architectural and site plan <br />approval to expand an auto salvage storage and auction facility (Copart Salvage Auto Auctions.) <br />Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett declared the Public Hearing "open." <br />City Council Mins August 1, 2000 1 <br />
