District 1 - CM Sanders commented on money available from Sacramento; on communication <br />through use of technology; the LCC Conference in September; and, paving of Tejon Street. <br />District 2 - CM DeLaRosa spoke about streets; the use of Colton Disposal roll -offs in the <br />districts; and, requested a Code Enforcement inspection at 750 Canary. <br />District 3 - CM Chastain commented on League of California workshops; clean up of various <br />properties; a September meeting for the Mt. Vernon Project Committee; and, progress of paving. <br />District 5 - Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett listed automated payment method; newspaper articles; <br />historical quilt; the Alameda Corridor; Fire Department; Terrace Oaks Apartments; Tumash <br />Street wall and repairs; Hunts Lane; Ninth Street underground pipes; Reche Canyon Road; and <br />Mohave Drive landscaping. <br />Discussion had re complaint software. <br />BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />There were no appointments. <br />ACTION ITEMS: <br />Voting Alternate Delegate for LCCArmual Conference. <br />MOTION/VOTE: Motion/second by CM DeLaRosa and Grimsby nominated CM Chastain as <br />the alternate voting delegate. The motion carried with no opposition to said motion. <br />City Flag <br />CM Cook and Assistant to the City Manager Kathy Kivley made presentation. Discussion <br />ensued. With consensus of Council, Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett directed that the existing <br />centennial flag be used for LCC Conference. After further discussion, with no objection from <br />Council, Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett directed that a committee be comprised of representatives, <br />from each commission and board, to develop the City Flag, subject to City Council approval. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />City Manager Garcia requested that Item 9 be pulled from the Consent Calendar and placed under <br />his banner for formal presentation and action. <br />MOTION: Motion/second by CM Cook/DeLaRosa to approve the Consent Calendar, EXCEPT <br />for Item Nos. 7, 9, 10 and 11, carried upon unanimous vote. <br />Item 7 - Upon inquiry, Assistant City Manager Parrish provided a list of net savings to be <br />realized by each of the Communities Facilities Districts. <br />MOTION/VOTE: Motion/second by CM Sanders/Cook to approve Item 7, approving all <br />resolutions, carried upon unanimous vote. <br />City Council Mins August 1, 2000 4 <br />
