PUBLIC HEARING: <br />Street Vacation <br />This was the time and place fixed to consider the declaration of intention to vacate the street right- <br />of-way of a portion of West Hanna Street, westerly of Seventh Street between B.N. & S. F. <br />railroad and the alley. <br />Mayor declared the Public Hearing opened. <br />City Clerk announced that the notice of continuance was posted and that no protest or objection <br />was received. <br />Public Works Director Hutton presented Barbara and David Lozano's request for the street <br />vacation and Staff's recommendation for the vacation to be subject to the compliance of conditions <br />of approval set by the Design Review Committee, reserving the rights of all and any utility <br />easements. Director Hutton indicated that the exhibits, a map and legal descriptions, were <br />inaccurate and submitted correct copies. <br />MOTION/VOTE: Motion/Second by Mayor Gaytan/CM DeLaRosa to terminate the public <br />hearing carried with no opposition to the motion. CM Chastain and CM Grimsby were absent. <br />Motion/second by Mayor Gaytan/CM Cook to approve and adopt RESOLUTION NO. R-01-00, <br />ordering the abandonment of a portion of Hanna Street, carried with CM Chastain and CM <br />Grimsby absent. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />The following citizens addressed community Steve Anderson, Richard Mosher, Bill Yahn and Art <br />Ramos. <br />At 7:13 P. M., CM Chastain returned to her place at the dais. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: Comments, Inter -Governmental Agency reports, <br />Information Session and Action Items: <br />Comments: <br />District 4: CM Cook spoke about the following items: The year 2000; her appointment to the <br />Policy Committee for the League of California Cities; her membership in the Administrative <br />Committee representing the Inland Valley League of California Cities - Employees Negotiations; <br />and, complimented the Police Department. <br />District 3 - CM Chastain spoke about the following items: Repairs in the district sewer and water <br />lines and that arrival of park equipment at Cesar Chavez Park. <br />District 2 - CM DeLaRosa spoke about the following items: Thanked the School District and the <br />City Council Mins Jan 4, 2000 2 <br />
