PUBLIC HEARING: Street Vacation This was the time and place fixed to consider the declaration of intention to vacate the street right- of-way of a portion of West Hanna Street, westerly of Seventh Street between B.N. & S. F. railroad and the alley. Mayor declared the Public Hearing opened. City Clerk announced that the notice of continuance was posted and that no protest or objection was received. Public Works Director Hutton presented Barbara and David Lozano's request for the street vacation and Staff's recommendation for the vacation to be subject to the compliance of conditions of approval set by the Design Review Committee, reserving the rights of all and any utility easements. Director Hutton indicated that the exhibits, a map and legal descriptions, were inaccurate and submitted correct copies. MOTION/VOTE: Motion/Second by Mayor Gaytan/CM DeLaRosa to terminate the public hearing carried with no opposition to the motion. CM Chastain and CM Grimsby were absent. Motion/second by Mayor Gaytan/CM Cook to approve and adopt RESOLUTION NO. R-01-00, ordering the abandonment of a portion of Hanna Street, carried with CM Chastain and CM Grimsby absent. PUBLIC COMMENT The following citizens addressed community Steve Anderson, Richard Mosher, Bill Yahn and Art Ramos. At 7:13 P. M., CM Chastain returned to her place at the dais. MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: Comments, Inter -Governmental Agency reports, Information Session and Action Items: Comments: District 4: CM Cook spoke about the following items: The year 2000; her appointment to the Policy Committee for the League of California Cities; her membership in the Administrative Committee representing the Inland Valley League of California Cities - Employees Negotiations; and, complimented the Police Department. District 3 - CM Chastain spoke about the following items: Repairs in the district sewer and water lines and that arrival of park equipment at Cesar Chavez Park.
