CITY OF COLTON <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />JUNE 20, 2000 <br />Regular Meeting held on the above -given date at 6:30 P. M., in the Council Chambers of City <br />Hall, with Mayor Pro Tempore Bennett, presiding. <br />FLAG SALUTE: <br />Councilmember Grimsby led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />INVOCATION <br />Rev. Bob Johnson introduced Rabbi Hillel Cohn who led the invocation. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />PRESENT <br />CM Donald J. Sanders <br />CM Kelly J. Chastain <br />CM James B. Grimsby <br />STAFF PRESENT <br />City Manager Garcia <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS: <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br />CM Richard A. DeLaRosa <br />CM Betty L. Bennett <br />City Clerk Barrera <br />City Attorney Carvalho <br />Presentation to the Parks, Recreation and Family Services of a $2,500 donation from the Jerry <br />and Jena Eaves Foundation for Summer Day Camp Scholarships. <br />Hon. Lee Ann Garcia, Councilmember for the City of Grand Terrace, presented an update, <br />via power -point, on the activities and projects of the Southern California Association of <br />Governments (SCAG). She was invited to return on a regular basis. Arnold San Miguel, <br />SCAG representative for the Inland Empire, accompanied her. <br />Proclamation was read honoring Principal Librarian Blair 1. Holm, the Wizard of <br />Whangdoodleland, upon his retirement. <br />Proclamation was read declaring Vivian Arellano as the Outstanding Crossing Guard for the <br />year 2000. <br />The Item regarding the Introduction of Parks Division Employees was pulled for a later time. <br />ORDINANCE: <br />FIRST READING: <br />City Council Mins June 20, 2000 <br />
