Commission Appointment <br />K No appointments made. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />MOTION: Motion initiated by CM Cook/Sanders to approve Consent Calendar Items Nos. 1 <br />through 8. Discussion followed. <br />Item 7 - CM Sanders reported a receipt of a call on the Wilson claim. City Attorney Carvalho <br />reviewed the matter to determine the 45 -day review period. City Attorney Carvalho advised that <br />denial of the claim did not prejudice the claim, merely started the tolling of time City Attorney <br />Carvalho suggested that Staff could be directed to withhold sending the denial of the Wilson <br />claim, if it was determined that the City was within the 45 -day limit. Conversely, if found that <br />the City did not have enough time, the denial would be issued, reserving the right to talk with <br />claimant. <br />VOTE: The main motion was reiterated as follows: Motion by CM Cook/Sanders to approve <br />Consent Calendar Items Nos. 1 through 8, to include the following verbiage as to Item No. 7: <br />Staff will hold -off on denial of the Wilson claim if the City is within the 45 -day review period; <br />however, if the City is beyond the 45 -day period, denial will be issued and Staff will take <br />comments from the claimant. Motion carried upon unanimous vote. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />(1) Minutes - Approved Minutes for the Regular Meeting held September 5, 2000 and Minutes <br />for the Regular Meeting held October 17, 2000, on file in the Office of the City Clerk. <br />(2) Warrants - Approved Payable Warrants #38179 to #38355, dated 10/05/00, totaling <br />$615,013.40; Payable Warrants #38356 to #38475, dated 10/12/00, totaling $399,271.21; <br />Payroll Warrants #210982 to #211384, dated 10/17/00, totaling $500,099.74, on File in <br />the Finance Department. <br />(3) Measure I - Approved and adopted the resolution adopting the Measure I Five -Year <br />Capital Improvement Program and Twenty -Year Transportation Plan, RESOLUTION <br />NO. R-86-00. <br />(4) Project/San Bernardino Associated Governments - Approved and adopted the Resolution to <br />authorize the submission of the project [Carnegie Public Library] to the San Bernardino <br />Associated Governments in response to the Call for Projects, RESOLUTION NO. R-87- <br />00. <br />(5) Amicus Curiae - Approved the request for Amicus Curiae support in Lim v. Long Beach. <br />(6) Personnel/Comm.
