Recommend <br />Denial. <br />(8) Amicus Curiae - Approved the request for Amicus Curiae support in Young v. City of <br />Simi Valley. <br />COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY <br />Consulting Engineer Contract, Krieger & Stewart <br />Utility Director Tom Clarke made presentation and answered questions regarding the waiver of a <br />formal bid process in favor of Krieger & Stewart to proceed with water and sewer line <br />replacement. <br />MOTION/VOTE: Motion/second by CM Cook/DeLaRosa to approve the request to waive the <br />formal bidding process and award the consulting engineer contract to Krieger & Stewart in the <br />amount of $85,050 for the Design of FY 00-01 water and sewer line replacement, Phase I. <br />City Attorney Sonia Carvalho referred to the Municipal Code and listed the requirements for this <br />process.
