(2) The applicant of DGVS-91-00 has accepted the improvement permit terms and has <br />applied for the public street permit and has performed the various items as required in the <br />conditions stated in DGVS-91-00. <br />Mayor Bennett declared that CM Ramos had received a telephone objection to this item from <br />resident Dorothy Moran. <br />MOTION/VOTE: Motion/second by CM Ramos/Sanders to terminate the Public Hearing <br />carried upon unanimous vote. <br />Motion/second by CM Sanders/DeLaRosa to approve and adopt RESOLUTION NO. R-31-01, <br />ordering the abandonment of a portion of "H" Street, to include Staff's additional <br />recommendation that the City Manager and City Clerk are authorized and directed to file for <br />recordation the appropriate forms of notice of street vacation, including these proceedings, when <br />the City Manager has confirmed that the following conditions have been satisfied: (1) The <br />conditions set forth in the City Engineer's recommendation, his report dated April 9, 2001, file <br />No. DGVS-91-00 at Page 5, have been satisfied by the applicant. (2) The applicant of DGVS-91- <br />00 has accepted the improvement permit terms, has applied for the public street permit and has <br />performed the various items as required in the conditions stated in DGVS-91-00. <br />Motion carried upon unanimous vote. <br />Street Vacation - Portion of "G" Street <br />This is the time and place fixed to consider vacating a street right-of-way, of a portion of "G" <br />Street, easterly of Pennsylvania Avenue. <br />Mayor Bennett declared the Public Hearing "Open." <br />City Clerk Barrera stated that the Affidavit of Publication calling the Public Hearing was on file <br />in the City Clerk's Office and said that she had not received any protests or objections. <br />Engineer Supervisor James King reported and submitted Staff's recommendation to authorize the <br />proposed vacation. <br />MOTION/VOTE: There being no response for public comment, motion/second by CM <br />Sanders/Ramos to terminate the Public Hearing carried upon unanimous vote. <br />Motion/second by CM Ramos/Zamora to approve and adopt RESOLUTION NO. R-32-01, <br />ordering the abandonment of a portion of "G" Street carried upon unanimous vote. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />The following -named citizens addressed the City Council: Charles Jackson, Jimmy Babacos, John <br />Mitchell, John Longfield and Apolinar Esquer. <br />City Council Mins April 17, 2001 3 <br />
