explained the date in the ordinance would have impact on an employee who was <br />�,--^ reemployed or employed after June 5. <br />Motion carried with CM Ramos abstaining based on her disagreement of the effective <br />date. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Nonconforming Structures <br />This was the time and place fixed to consider an ordinance adding section 18.46.070 to <br />the Colton Municipal Code relating to extension periods for the continuation of <br />nonconforming structures used for residential purposes, File Index No. DO -33-01. <br />Mayor declared the Public Hearing "Open." <br />City Clerk declared that the Affidavit of Publication was on file and reported that no <br />protests or objections were received. <br />Director Zamora presented and asked for approval of staffs recommendation. <br />MOTIONIVOTE: There being no request for public comment, motion/second by CM <br />Chastain/Ramos to terminate the Public Hearing carried upon unanimous vote. <br />Brief presentation on the proposed ordinance was presented by Director Zamora, City <br />Attorney Carvalho and CM Chastain. <br />MOTION/VOTE: Motion/second by CM Ramos/Chastain to waive full reading and pass <br />first reading of ORDINANCE NO. 0-10-01, adding section 18.46.070 to the Colton <br />Municipal Code relating to extension periods for the continuation of nonconforming <br />structures used for residential purposes. Motion carried upon unanimous vote. <br />Southern California Edison Facilities <br />This was the time and place fixed to consider a resolution of necessity to condemn the <br />property known as the Southern California Edison Facilities, including electrical pole <br />structures, along the easterly portion of Steel road, close to Redlands Boulevard, and the <br />northerly portion of Hunts Lane, on the west side of the street, just before Redlands <br />Boulevard. <br />Mayor declared the Public Hearing "Open." <br />City Clerk declared that the Letter of Notice to Property Owner was on file and reported <br />that no protests or objections were received. <br />Attorney Easter explained the Public Domain process.
