This was the time and place fixed to consider prioritization and funding of Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) Projects for fiscal year 2001-2002. <br />Mayor Bennett declared the Public Hearing "Open." <br />City Clerk Barrera said the Affidavit of Publication calling the Public Hearing was on file in the <br />City Clerk's Office and stated that no protests or objections were received. <br />Community Development Director David Zamora reported and submitted Staff's <br />recommendation. <br />The following individuals addressed the City Council: Nathan Green (Shopping for Seniors); <br />Katie Bodily (Partnerships with Industry); JoAnn Watson (San Bernardino County Museum); <br />Ruben Martinez (Libreria del Pueblo); Kevin Kane (Labor of True Love); Jose Medina (San <br />Bernardino County Department of Aging and Adult Services); and Katherine Gauler (Legal Aid <br />Clinic). <br />Principal Planner Andres Soto assisted Council's discussion by providing information on the <br />projects and funding. <br />MOTION/VOTE: Motion/second by CM Ramos/DeLaRosa to close the Public Hearing carried <br />with CM Chastain absent. <br />MOTION: Motion/second by CM Sanders/Ramos to approve and adopt RESOLUTION NO. <br />R-11-01, prioritizing the projects to be funded by Community Development Block Grant Funds <br />for Fiscal Year 2001-2002, with the understanding that any amount over $382,000 is to be <br />deducted from Project No. 27257 and will be covered by the contingency fund at a later time: <br />Project Number <br />Applicant <br />Amount Funded <br />27130 <br />Street Improvements - South Colton <br />Missing Links Area bounded by <br />Third, Seventh, "K" and "N" Streets <br />$238,400 <br />27149 <br />Adult and Family Literacy Education <br />Program <br />$ 24,000 <br />27156 <br />Emergency Food and Clothing <br />Assistance for Families <br />$ 5,000 <br />27257 <br />Child Care Modular Unit - Wilson <br />Elementary School <br />$ 81,300 <br />27328 <br />Shelter Facility Construction <br />Improvements <br />$ 5,000 <br />27319 <br />Adopt a Bike/Computer <br />$ 2,500 <br />27252 <br />Inland.
