MOTION/VOTE: After brief discussion, motion/second by CM Chastain/De La Rosa to <br />,,. waive full reading and pass first reading of ORDINANCE NO. 0-06-01, amendment to the <br />contract between the City Council of the City of Colton and the Board of Administration of <br />the California Public Employees' Retirement System, and, approve and adopt <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-37-01, to approve an amendment to the contract between the Board <br />of Administration California Public Employees Retirement System and the City Council City <br />of Colton. Motion carried with CM Sanders voting "No." <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />The following citizens addressed the City Council: William Yahn, Jimmy Babacos, Charles <br />Jackson, Harold Berkebile. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Member Comments: <br />The following topics were addressed by the Members: Community Events, SANBAG <br />update, potholes located on Colton Ave., Valley Blvd. between Hermosa and Pepper Ave., <br />complaint about trash on Hermosa Ave., Prop. 12, Colton High School tour, request for <br />Joint Meeting at school, graffiti, Meridian and Visconti Streets, and renaming of city facility. <br />BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS: <br />Appointments <br />CM De La Rosa announced the appointment of Robert Armenta, Jr. to the Civil Service <br />Board for District 2. <br />MOTION AND VOTE: Motion/second by CM Sanders/Ramos to ratify the appointments <br />with no opposition to the motion. <br />CM Zamora announced the appointment of David Baldonado to the Historic Preservation <br />Commission for District 6. <br />MOTION AND VOTE: Motion/second by CM De La Rosa/Chastain to ratify the <br />appointments with no opposition to the motion. <br />AGENDA REVIEW: <br />Item #14 was pulled and placed under Utility Director's Reports and Recommendations; <br />Item #17 was changed to indicate staff's recommendation to reject all bids; Item Nos. 20 & <br />21 were continued to June 12th; and, there was a request to discuss the budget at the end. <br />City Attorney Carvalho informed that a certain item arose after the posting of the agenda <br />that needs to be added to the Consent Calendar to be known as Item #17A.
