UNFINISHED BUSINESS: <br />Award of Bid <br />Approved award of bid for vehicles for various City departments to Victor Buick in the amount of <br />$51,047.64 and Crest Chevrolet in the amount of $55,857.99. (Item #7, Agenda 10. 16.01) <br />Motion/second by CM Chastain/Ramos to approve award bid for vehicles for various City <br />departments. Unanimous vote. <br />ORDINANCE: <br />Second Reading Ordinance regarding Amendment to the Contract between the Board of <br />Administration California Public Employees Retirement System and the City Council of the City of <br />Colton to provide Section 21574 4t" level Survivorship Benefits to Miscellaneous (S.B.P.E.A.) <br />Employees <br />Waive Full Reading and Pass Second Reading of Ordinance regarding Amendment to the <br />Contract between the Board of Administration, California Public Employees Retirement System <br />and the City Council of the City of Colton to provide Section 21574, 0 level Survivorship Benefits <br />to Miscellaneous (S.B.P.E.A.) Employees, ORDINANCE NO. 0-19-01. <br />Motion/second by CM De La Rosa/Zamora to waive full reading and pass second reading of <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-19-01. Unanimous vote. <br />PUBLIC HEARING: <br />Increase Wastewater Sewer Service Charges <br />This was the time and place fixed to approving an increase to the city's existing sewage <br />collection and treatment services fees <br />Mayor declared the Public Hearing "Open." <br />City Clerk Barrera declared that the Affidavit of Publication was on file and reported that no <br />protests or objections were received. <br />Utility Director Tom Clarke summarized the agenda report and recommended that the Colton Utility <br />Authority adopt and approve the Ordinance amending chapter 13.16.025 of the Colton Municipal <br />Code increasing wastewater sewer service charges. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />William Yahn addressed the council, stating that the rates for Grand Terrace should be the same <br />as the City of Colton, and that the increase should be put out to the Citizens for a vote. <br />John Mitchell addressed the council, stating that he believed that the rate change is a two part to <br />raising this fund, and if we are currently raising rates why not raise the second part now, and <br />7 , questioned if the city has looked at other ways of raising funds. <br />PUBLIC HEARING: (cont.) <br />2 <br />
