PUBLIC HEARING: <br />(1) Historic Landmark #49 — Benches at Cesar Chavez Park (cont from 913102) <br />This was the time and place fixed to continue consideration of property located at 670 N. <br />Colton Ave. as Historic Landmark #49. <br />Mayor Bennett declared the Public Hearing "Open". <br />City Clerk Barrera said the Notice of Continuation of the Public Hearing was on file in the City <br />Clerk's Office and stated that no protests or objections were received. <br />City Manager Daryl Parrish requested that this item be addressed after the scheduled Budget <br />Workshop, at which time a proposed budget is to be presented for Historic Preservation and <br />should address the cost to restore this landmark. <br />City Attorney Dean Derleth responded that this Public Hearing would need to be continued to a <br />set date. <br />With consensus of Council, the Public Hearing was continued to February 4, 203. <br />(2) Intention to Vacate a Portion of Alleywa <br />This was the time and place fixed to declare the intention of the City Council to order the <br />vacation of the Westerly 250 feet of the alleyway of Block 199 of the Map of the Town of <br />Colton subdivision. <br />Mayor Bennett declared the Public Hearing "Open". <br />City Clerk Barrera said the Affidavit of Publication calling the Public Hearing was on file in the <br />City Clerk's Office and stated that no protests or objections were received. <br />City Engineer Amer Jakher presented for consideration and approval of stafFs recommendation <br />an Order of Vacation of the Westerly 250 feet of the alleyway of Block 199 of the Map of the <br />Town of Colton Subdivision. City Engineer Jakher also presented a correction to the wording of <br />Resolution No. R-131-02 to read, "it is unnecessary for present or prospective public street <br />purposes and the public interest and conveniences requires the closing of said streets, with the <br />City reserving all existing utility easements, including, but not limited to the following: water, <br />sewer and electric." <br />Motion/second by CM Hernandez/ CM Ramos to terminate the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. <br />Motion/second by CM Ramos/DeLaRosa to approve aid adopt Resolution No. R-131-02, with <br />corrections to the Resolution as stated by City Engireer Jahker. Unanimous vote. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />The following citizens addressed the Council: Mark Williams, Lee Deieding, Ann Kolman, Ed <br />Hoke and Jimmy Babacos. <br />2 <br />2002 November 19 CC/RDA/CUA/SCPFA Mg.
